The Adirai Friends Cricket Club (AFCC) team is one of the best cricket team of Adirampattinam. Managed by the senior players of Adirai Puthumanai (Street) Cricket Club (APCC),
The AFCC team is currently ranked first (2010) by the Running Ballet matches. the AFCC team has played many matches, Confidently winning over 50% of matches played. Currently, Hussain is the head coach while Abdul Gafoor is the captain in all forms of the game. Under the leadership of Gafoor, the AFCC team has set a record for most back-to-back running ballet match wins (12 straight wins) and has emerged as one of the most formidable teams in taluk level cricket.
Although cricket was introduced in Adirampattinam in 1992, however, gained strength near the end of the 1999s with the emergence of players such as Abdul Rasheed (Capt), Thajudeen, Abdul Hakeem (Wkt kpr), Ahamed Mohideen (Leg brk), Ahamed Mohideen (Potty), Dheenul Haq, Najimudeen (Hitter), Nafeel, Aslam (Iyyam), and the current player Nijas Ahamed, Thameen (Kanji) and Kamaludeen.
Traditionally much stronger at home than other place, the AFCC team has improved its form since the start of the 21st century. It won the Thanjavur dist level in 1998 under Abdul Rasheed. It also won the inaugural Runneing Ballet in 2007. The current team contains many of leading players, including Nijas Ahamed, Abdul Gafoor and the best ever Left arm medium-fast bowler is Rasheed who hold numerous cricketing records.
